The only change I would make, is to so a single crochet around the bottom instead of a slip stitch. The slip stitch doesn't leave much room to stretch.

Crochet Bear Hat
Today during Leiland's nap, I decided to crochet a little bear hat for
the baby. I know its SO super early, but the yarn was just sitting
there, so I gave it a go.
